One Response to Kennedy

  1. Rex Smith says:

This is by far the ugliest station on all of the subway lines. It is dank, dark and dirty. The washrooms in this station are a complete disaster and unsanitary. The subway platform level of this station is dark and uninviting. When you take the escalator down from the bus platform to the subway platform you feel like you marching down into the cauldron of hell where you shall never re-appear again. The TTC needs to consider the following changes to Kennedy. First, adding brighter lighting to the subway platform level. Secondly, (if cost effective) a re-tiling of the station in a lighter colour (possibly beige or tan colour to match with the dark brown posts). Thirdly, a repair of all the broken and missing ceiling tiles on the subway platform. Lastly, maintenance needs to be more vigilant about the cleanliness of the washrooms in the station. Perhaps cleaning them at a minimum of 3 times per day. The solutions I am proposing are inexpensive (other than a re-tiling of the station) and can be accomplished in relatively short order.
